You won’t want to miss this exciting and unique organ performance alongside The Phantom of the Opera this October… Join us at Salisbury Cathedral as Jonathan Hope improvises a live organ soundtrack to Lon Chaney’s 1925 silent movie, ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. In this silent classic, a mysterious phantom threatens a famous lyric singer and forces her to give up her role for unknown Christine Daae. What’s his goal? What’s his secret?
Jonathan Hope is Assistant Director of Music at Gloucester Cathedral, as well as being a very in-demand organ recitalist. Jonathan’s solo career to date has taken him throughout the UK and Europe, as well as to the USA and Australia. He frequently improvises to silent movies, and has also arranged several orchestral works for the organ. Come and experience one of his thrilling improvisations with this rendition of The Phantom of the Opera!
