Armed Forces Covenant Signing
On June 11 2023, four copies of the Armed Forces Covenant were signed, as part of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s mission weekend. These were signed jointly by Salisbury Cathedral, the Diocesan Board of Finance, Education, and the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust.
This Covenant is a pledge to commit to honouring the Armed Forces and their servicepeople. It is a pledge to ‘recognise the value of Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans, and Military families, and their contribution to our businesses and our country.’ This also entitles the aforementioned groups to an additional 5 days of paid leave annually.
