Nicolas I visited Salisbury in 2008. It was incredible and the Cathedral is amazing and magnificent. I'm from Argentina and always remember the days I spent in the magical England.

We visited Salisbury from Thurs 11th to Sunday 14th and had a most marvellous enjoyable stay in the city. We had a tour of the cathedral on Friday, it was just the two of us, which made the tour feel personal and the guide was very knowlegable and delightful. It added to our visit, as we would not have known what we were looking at otherwise. Every member of staff we encountered was very friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable.
Gavin also took part in the tower tour on Saturday and found the guide, John Hardcastle, to be very accommodating and informative. It was a very enjoyable visit and we cannot wait to return.

On a recent visit from Australia to Salisbury, the number of places I had intended to visit in the city was drastically reduced by the fascination I found in everything at the cathedral, largely due, I think, to the wonderfully comprehensive tour I enjoyed with one of your volunteer guides, an elderly gentleman whose affection for the cathedral was matched by his breadth of knowledge.
And now I have just come across the excellent web site, which further adds to my understanding of the cathedral.
Congratulations to the designers who have produced a site that moves effortlessly from section to section. Also impressive is the large number of extremely interesting and informative entries in the news and events sections, and the effort made to show the vital work done by people in the works, glazing and other departments of the cathedral.
As an Australian visiting great centres of worship in a church that is by law established, it seemed incomprehensible to read the sign one finds in most English cathedrals that refers to the fact that they do not receive any financial assistance from the state. The imagination, organization and dedication that is needed in each place, Salisbury included, to surmount this extraordinary deficit is inspiring, and my prayers will be added to all the others.
With the tower tour unavailable at the time of my visit, I thought I might be able to manage it virtually, but I seem unable to find any visual material on this and other fascinating parts of your great church.
With my very best wishes,
Lance Taylor
D. Moore I am looking forward to my visit in september 2010. The gallery is beautiful. I can only imagine my visit in person.
R L Coschignano My family and I were fortunate to visit the UK in 2005 from the US. Your Cathedral was, without a doubt, the most awe inspiring place of worship we visited! My girls, ages 10 and 7 at the time, stood next to us outside and gaped at the structure for a good quarter hour before we could even go in. The interior is magnificent, and the history incredible! My girls really enjoyed the treasure hunt they were doing at the time. It was a phenominal visit!
Jackie Ball I have just returned from a superb concert in Calne given by your girl choristers and "the Six" , and wanted to express my thanks. As a humble, ageing, but still passionate soprano in a local church choir, it's good to see some real Girl power keeping the tradition going, and sounding like angels!! Thankyou for a magical evening, Mr. Hall.
Errol Croft As an Architect, I am absolutely stunned by the incredible detail in the building. I wonder, with all the technology we have today, if anything so beautiful could be designed and built and also maintain it\'s majesty for as long as this Cathedral has. I am from South Africa and envy our own Bishop Tutu as he preached there. I hope to visit the Cathedral one day.

I visited the cathedral July 2009.
The new font is inspirational and deeply spiritual for me. The Walking Madonna is brilliant and deserves a permanent place in the Close. The Lunar Disc stretches the presence of the Close into the Universe.
What pure delight.
Mark Emanuelson My wife and I visited Salisbury Cathedral today and were awestruck by the history and the majesty of the building. Our visit was made most memorable by the excellent guide who took us around the interior as part of our small donation to the church. Thank you for working so hard to make it an enjoyable place to visit and learn about English heritage and church life over the last 7 centuries.
Keith Reddick I was born is Salisbury infirmary in 1949 and had the privilege of working inside the structure of the Cathedral during my apprenticeship with Southern Electricity during the 1960's. It is good to see that now there are tours around the internal workings and passages of the Cathedral, and perhaps now more people will realise how much work went into this building and appreciate it that much more. I now live in the Falkland Islands but still like to keep in touch.
